Vice President Beslan Bigvava took part in the celebration of Miner's Day in Tkuarchal

A festive event dedicated to the Miner's Day was held in Tkuarchal, which was attended by Vice-President of the Republic of Abkhazia Beslan Bigvava.

Miner's Day is traditionally celebrated on the last Sunday of August. This date has a special significance for Tkuarchal. As the Vice-President noted, for the mining town, this holiday can rightfully be put on a par with the City Day, since the formation and development of Tkuarchal are inextricably linked with the opening of coal mines.

"The history of Tkuarchal is the story of several generations of people who created and developed the city with their labor. Miners, engineers, builders, and specialists of various professions worked here. Their work became the basis for the establishment of Tkuarchal as one of the industrial centers of Abkhazia," said Beslan Bigvava.

He also noted that he considers himself a Tkuarchalian, since he was born and spent part of his childhood in this glorious city.
