The delegation also included Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Z. F. Kadzhaya, Member of the People’s Assembly-Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia O. K. Dzhindzholiya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia D. V. Kove, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Abkhazia N. I. Piliya, Head of the Department of the Middle East and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia I. Z. Alshundba, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia T. V. Mertskhulava, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia A. G. Gaguliya, and Chairman of the Council of the CB “Amra-Bank” M. R. Chalmaz.

The visit of the delegation is timed to the opening ceremony of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia which is scheduled for October 6. A number of bilateral meetings with the Head and Government of Syria are planned as part of the visit.
