The heads of city and district administrations participated in the meeting.

“Under the instruction of President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniya, we have invited you to discuss the issues related to the upcoming elections on the amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation to take place on July 1. We understand that many Russian citizens live in Abkhazia. They have the right to participate in the elections and they will want to participate. We have a duty to assist them in using their right to vote and to ensure public order”, - said Alkhas Kvitsiniya.

The voting on the amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation will take place on July 1, 2020, from 08:00 to 20:00 on the premises of the consular department of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Abkhazia.

The participants of the meeting have also discussed the upcoming re-election to the People’s Assembly-Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia, which is to take place on July 12.

Alkhas Kvitsiniya pointed out the necessity of the interaction of the local administrations' management with the law enforcement agencies which will provide order in the districts where the voting is to take place.

The participants of the meeting have expressed their readiness to support the elections.
