President of Abkhazia Badra Gunba chaired a meeting of the organizing committee to summarize the results of the International Economic Forum "Abkhazia — investments in the Future"

The results of the forum were reviewed and analyzed, and instructions were formulated for the Cabinet of Ministers and relevant authorities on the implementation of agreements, as well as on the support of investment projects.

The Head of State highlighted the scale of the event: the forum brought together more than 500 participants from Abkhazia, 15 regions of Russia, and South Ossetia. The potential volume of investment following the forum is estimated at around 100 billion rubles. More than 30 agreements were signed, including strategic arrangements with the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation in the energy sector, the expansion of air connections, and the entry of local producers into Russian marketplaces. Special attention was paid to the Year of the Village initiative, within which important agreements were concluded in the agricultural sector with the Rosselkhoztsentr and the Rosagrokhim Service.

Prime Minister Vladimir Delba presented an overview of the six roundtable discussions held as part of the business program. Key issues included government support measures such as concessional lending, public investment in infrastructure, and business development. In the transport sector, discussions focused on creating favorable conditions for air, maritime, and rail transportation, as well as developing transit through Abkhazia. In agriculture, particular attention was given to its support and establishing laboratories jointly with the Russian Ministry of Agriculture to simplify export procedures. Within the “Creative Industries” track, work has begun on organizing a seasonal exhibition of artisans aimed at promoting national culture.

Heads of ministries delivered reports on their respective areas.

Minister of Economy Teymuraz Mikvabia presented an economic analysis of the forum’s outcomes and outlined priority investment areas.

Minister of Tourism Astamur Logua assessed the business environment and proposed measures to improve the investment climate in the sector.

Minister of Agriculture Beslan Dzhopua announced the launch of four agreements signed with organizations subordinate to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. He noted that the forum’s outcomes open up opportunities to address key challenges in the development of Abkhazia’s agricultural sector.

Minister of Culture Daur Kove summarized the events held as part of the forum and emphasized its potential for the development of the creative economy.

Head of the Presidential Administration Beslan Eshba stressed the coordinated work of government bodies and the importance of effective cooperation in implementing all agreements.

The Head of State thanked participants for their work and noted that the forum demonstrates the republic’s openness to dialogue and broad-based cooperation.

The President identified the key benchmark for government performance as tangible improvements in the quality of life of the population, rather than figures presented in reports. According to the Head of State, all the work carried out is aimed at the benefit of citizens, who should feel positive changes.

To this end, the President instructed that strict oversight of the implementation of commitments be ensured, highlighting two priority areas. The first one includes full execution of all agreements signed on the sidelines of the forum. The second one involves comprehensive support for investment projects, including the designation of responsible agencies, clear timelines, and structured reporting procedures.

In conclusion, President Gunba called on heads of departments to demonstrate maximum responsibility and personal engagement. The Head emphasized that the republic is entering a phase of large-scale development and that the current pace must be maintained.

Badra Gunba stated that with the conclusion of the forum, the phase of practical implementation begins, and instructed officials to ensure regular reporting across all areas.
