A separate meeting was held at the Republic House between the President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Badra Gunba, and the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov. The parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation.

The negotiations continued in an expanded format with the participation of members of the delegations of the two sides.

During the meeting, Badra Gunba thanked the leadership of the Republic of Bashkortostan for the reception and high level of hospitality.

The President of Abkhazia stressed that the Russian Federation is a strategic partner and ally of Abkhazia, and the Abkhaz-Russian relations are friendly, allied and strategic. In this context, the development of direct cooperation between Abkhazia and the Russian regions is of particular importance.

The Head of State noted that the level of cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of Bashkortostan is unprecedented today. Cooperation has long gone beyond declarative intentions and has moved on to concrete results.

Badra Gunba once again expressed his gratitude to the leadership of Bashkortostan for their assistance in the implementation of the project for the reconstruction of part of the Sukhum embankment.

The President also noted the positive dynamics of trade and economic cooperation and the growth of trade turnover.

Special attention was paid to the development of flights between Bashkortostan and Abkhazia. According to the President, the opening of direct flights has proved its effectiveness. Despite the completion of the main stage of the holiday season, flights remain highly populated.

Radiy Khabirov noted that it is deeply symbolic that the delegation of Abkhazia headed by the President is in Bashkortostan today, on the day of the 18th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation.

In turn, Radiy Khabirov highly appreciated the level of cooperation between Bashkortostan and Abkhazia in various fields, including economics, education, culture and youth policy. The Head of Bashkortostan stressed that cooperation will continue to increase consistently.

Radiy Khabirov also noted the readiness of the Republic of Bashkortostan to expand the supply of goods from Abkhazia, including agricultural products, emphasizing the significant potential for further expansion of trade and economic ties.

During the meeting, Badra Gunba invited Radiy Khabirov to visit the Republic of Abkhazia on September 30, the Day of Victory and Independence of Abkhazia.
