On behalf of the people of the Republic of Abkhazia, I congratulate you and the friendly people of the Republic of Nicaragua on the national holiday – Independence Day.

The 205th anniversary of Nicaragua's declaration of independence is a significant date that embodies the centuries-old struggle of the Nicaraguan people for freedom, sovereignty and the right to determine their own future.

Today, Nicaragua consistently defends national interests, strengthens statehood and pursues an independent foreign policy course. 

Abkhazia highly values friendly relations with Nicaragua based on mutual respect, trust and solidarity.

I am confident that our States will continue to develop bilateral cooperation and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in the interests of our peoples.

On this festive day, I wish you, dear Co–Presidents, good health, prosperity and success in your government activities, and peace, prosperity and further success in the development of the country to the friendly people of Nicaragua."
