At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of State congratulated the participants on the upcoming Victory Day and emphasized the special significance of this holiday for the people of Abkhazia.

Badra Gunba noted the special role of Gudauta in the Patriotic War of the Abkhazian people. For almost 13 months, the city effectively served as the republic's capital. The leadership of Abkhazia was situated here, headed by national leader Vladislav Ardzinba, where fateful decisions for the people and the state were made, and important negotiations with representatives of international organizations took place.

The President emphasized that every city and district of Abkhazia holds a special place in the history and life of the state. According to him, it is gratifying that a good tradition has recently emerged, where natives of different cities and regions, local entrepreneurs, and heads of commercial organizations actively participate in the life of their hometowns, provide support, and contribute to solving pressing issues.

In this regard, Badra Gunba noted that such unity and indifference are especially important by the example of Gudauta. This year, for the first time, by decision of the leadership of Abkhazia, City Day was established, which was celebrated on September 7. Despite the fact that the organization of festive events was not provided for by the state budget, the Day of the Hero City of Gudauta was celebrated at a high organizational level thanks to the initiative and support of local entrepreneurs,

The Head of State expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the organization of the celebrations, noting that the unity, solidarity, and care shown are an example of a responsible attitude towards their hometown.

The President also noted that entrepreneurs from the Gudauta district are assisting in the restoration of a water intake facility, which was destroyed by a natural disaster and supplies water to a significant part of the district.

In conclusion of the meeting, letters of gratitude from the President of the Republic of Abkhazia were presented to entrepreneurs who assisted in the organization and holding of Gudauta City Day.
