You are well-known in Abkhazia, your sporting achievements are known. We are glad that you found the opportunity to come to us, to support our athletes, to inspire them to new and serious achievements. Your entire life path shows that if a person sets a goal, stays on the chosen path, and shows persistence, they can achieve significant success – not only in sports but also in life. "I hope that our young Abkhazian talents will also have the opportunity to learn from your experience, professionalism, and attitude towards sports," the President noted.
In turn, Fedor Emelianenko thanked for the invitation to Abkhazia and noted that he had long wanted to visit the republic.
Unfortunately, this is only my first time in Abkhazia. Although I have heard and read a lot about this land — about holy places, about holy ascetics, about Abkhazian athletes. Of course, I know about the war that Abkhazia went through. "Therefore, we are always with you and always ready to support you," the athlete said.
Emelianenko noted that during his stay in the republic, he managed to communicate with Abkhaz athletes and representatives of the sports community. He stated his readiness to continue cooperation and to visit Abkhazia again to conduct master classes.
"I will definitely return to Abkhazia." I will come, conduct master classes, and try to pass on all my knowledge and experience to the young people – everything I know and that can be useful to them. We will communicate, demonstrate, analyze, and learn. "All of this can be recorded so that the young people can use these materials in the future," he said.
Emelianenko expressed hope that his first visit to Abkhazia will mark the beginning of further cooperation and new meetings with the republic's young athletes.
