The President received the Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Andrey Emelyanov.

Today, after visiting the Ministry of Defense training ground, where the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Abkhazia, Badra Gunba, observed practical live-fire exercises as part of large-scale operational-tactical drills, the Head of State held a series of working meetings.

In particular, Badra Gunba met with the Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Andrey Emelyanov.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation in the field of education, training of young specialists, and further development of Abkhaz-Russian humanitarian ties were discussed.

The President thanked the leadership of Rossotrudnichestvo and personally the head of the agency, Igor Chaika, for the support provided to Abkhazia in training qualified personnel, including for providing Abkhaz students with the opportunity to study at Russian universities under quotas.

"Training personnel for each country is a very important area." Today we see how the interests of our applicants are changing. If previously they predominantly chose legal, medical, and economic specialties, today they are showing increasing interest in technical fields. "This is very important to us," Badra Gunba noted.

The Head of State emphasized the particular demand for specialists in civil aviation, the energy sector, and other technical fields. He also expressed his gratitude to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin for the opportunities that are opening up for the youth of Abkhazia.

In turn, Andrey Emelyanov conveyed words of gratitude from Igor Chaika for supporting joint work and noted the importance of Abkhazia's interest in training specialists in demand in the republic.

"What is most valuable to us is that this work is not opportunistic, but is truly being done for the good of the country," emphasized Andrey Emelyanov.

He assured that Rossotrudnichestvo will continue its work on developing humanitarian relations and supporting educational programs, maintaining the volume of assistance provided.
