The meeting was attended by Minister of Health Astamur Gunia and Assistant Minister of Health Alkhas Dzhindzholia.

The possibility of creating a specialized palliative care unit at one of Abkhazia's medical facilities was discussed, where severely ill patients with various diseases could receive necessary medical care and attention.

It was noted that organizing such assistance within a unified system will ensure a more consistent and comprehensive approach to the care of patients requiring special attention, pain relief, and improved quality of life.

Badra Gunba emphasized that creating conditions for providing accessible and high-quality care to critically ill citizens is an important task. 

The Head of State instructed the Ministry of Health to work on this issue and prepare relevant proposals, taking into account the needs of Abkhazia's healthcare system and the mentality of our people.
