Abkhazian President Badra Gunba signed the Decree "On the conscription of citizens of the Republic of Abkhazia for military service in October-December 2026 and on the dismissal from military service of citizens undergoing conscription military servi

According to the Decree, citizens aged 18 to 27 who are not in the reserve and are subject to conscription will be called up for military service from October 1 to December 31, 2026, and servicemen whose conscription service term has expired will be discharged.

The Cabinet of Ministers, district administrations, and the city of Sukhum have been tasked with ensuring the full implementation of measures related to the conscription and demobilization of citizens of the Republic of Abkhazia.
