Congratulations on the 34th anniversary of the liberation of the Gagra district from enemy troops during the Patriotic War of the Abkhazian people.

The liberation of Gagra became one of the first major victories of the defenders of the Motherland. The western part of Abkhazia was liberated, this victory boosted the morale of our people, who fought for the freedom and independence of their Motherland.

The victory won in Gagra strengthened our fighters' belief in their abilities and became an important step towards the liberation of all of Abkhazia. It contributed to the achievement of the Great Victory on September 30, 1993.

On this memorable day, we recall with deep respect all those who fought for the liberation of Gagra and the Gagra district. We honor the memory of the First President of Abkhazia, Vladislav Ardzinba, under whose leadership the people of Abkhazia defended their freedom. We bow our heads to the brave fighters who gave their lives for the future of our Motherland.

The Gagra district is the western gateway to Abkhazia, and the city of Gagra is one of the most beautiful cities in our country. I am confident that by developing the city and creating decent living conditions for its residents, we will make Gagra worthy of the memory of those who brought it freedom.

I wish all my compatriots good health and well-being.

Happy holiday! Happy 34th anniversary of the liberation of Gagra district!
