The Commander-in-Chief highly praised the interaction between units and particularly noted the active participation of reservists, many of whom are veterans of the Patriotic War of the Abkhazian People. As part of operational-tactical exercises in Ochamchira, units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations practiced practical actions in conditions of a simulated enemy attack on a peaceful city. According to the exercise scenario, unmanned aerial vehicles of a simulated enemy attacked the city. In accordance with the practiced scenario, territorial defense was led by the head of the district.
An operational evacuation of students and staff of educational institutions was organized, and the safety of the civilian population was ensured.
At the command of the territorial defense commander, the units began to destroy the drones of the simulated enemy.
The set educational tasks were successfully completed.
A separate stage of the exercises took place at sea. The Commander-in-Chief observed the drills for repelling an attack by the mock enemy's unmanned boats using aviation. During practical exercises, the detection, engagement, and destruction of naval targets were practiced.
Large-scale operational-tactical exercises of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Abkhazia are taking place from October 12 to 16. Units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation, as well as reservists, are involved in them.
The main objectives of the exercises are to improve troop command and control, enhance combat readiness, and practice interaction between various units and security agencies.
