Vice President Beslan Bigvava took part in the events.
As part of the commemorative event, flowers were laid at the monument to the defenders of the Fatherland. The participants honored the memory of those whose fates still remain unknown, and their relatives continue to wait for news of their loved ones.
A memorable meeting was held at the R. Tsvizhba House of Culture. An exhibition of photographs from the period of the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia was presented here, short films dedicated to the topic of missing persons were shown, and poems from the war years were performed.
Addressing the participants of the event, Beslan Bigvava noted that the memory of the missing must be preserved, and the search and determination of the fate of each person must continue.
"We must remember everyone who went missing during the war. Behind each tragic fate is a man who defended his Homeland, a peaceful citizen whose life was cut short by the war, and a family that has been waiting for many years. Remembering them is our duty, and establishing the fate of the missing remains our common task," the Vice President said.
