At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan Andrey Nazarov noted that the Republic attaches special importance to the development of cooperation with Abkhazia. According to him, cooperation between Bashkortostan and Abkhazia has deep historical roots and today is consistently developing in a wide range of areas — from humanitarian and educational ties to tourism, economics, digital projects and other areas.
President Badra Gunba noted that the peoples of Abkhazia and Bashkortostan have supported each other for many years and these relationships allow today to expand the range of interaction between the two republics.
The Head of State expressed gratitude to the leadership of Bashkortostan for building the dynamics of relations. Cooperation is underway in the fields of tourism, infrastructure, transport and youth policy. The trade turnover between the republics has increased, and the launch of direct flights between Sukhum and Ufa has become an important step.
Separately, Badra Gunba thanked for the support in the reconstruction of the Sukhum embankment and the adjacent park area.
According to Badra Gunba, one of the main priorities of Abkhazia's international cooperation is building special, close relationships with the Russian Federation. The Head of State stressed that Abkhazia values these relations and strengthens them, including through direct interaction with the Russian regions.
The President of Abkhazia noted that Bashkortostan combines rich traditions and spirituality with dynamic development, and the visited campus clearly demonstrates the enormous potential of the region, the fruits of which will certainly make themselves felt.
Badra Gunba stressed that Bashkortostan's successes arouse the warmest feelings among the Abkhaz people.
In addition, the installation of an exact replica of the Sukhum embankment colonnade on the banks of the Belaya River has become another symbol of strengthening fraternal relations that will continue to develop for the benefit of the residents of Abkhazia and Bashkortostan.
The participants of the meeting were shown a film about Abkhazia, its economic and tourism potential, investment opportunities and prospects for the development of various industries.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia Jansukh Nanba spoke about the key areas of socio-economic development of the republic, opportunities for expanding business contacts and implementing joint projects.
An exchange of views took place on the issues of further development of cooperation. The participants of the meeting were able to ask their questions, which were answered by President Badra Gunba and members of the Abkhaz delegation.
