The Mayor of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabaev, also took part in the event.
Beslan Eshba, the Head of the Presidential Administration, spoke at the solemn ceremony. He noted that work on the project began in September 2025. To coordinate and oversee its implementation, the President of Abkhazia, Badra Gunba, issued a decree on May 14, 2026, establishing a State Commission.
Beslan Eshba emphasized that the creation of a modern interactive exhibition became possible thanks to the joint work of the Abkhazian and Russian sides, the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, and the assistance of Nizhny Novgorod, a twin town of Sukhum.
The Head of the Presidential Administration expressed gratitude to the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, the Nizhny Novgorod City Administration, Mayor Yuri Shalabaev personally, as well as the Russian and Abkhaz specialists who participated in the project's implementation.
The new exhibition showcases modern digital and multimedia solutions, interactive elements, and historical materials dedicated to the heroes of the Patriotic War of the Abkhazian People of 1992–1993 and the First President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Vladislav Grigoryevich Ardzinba.
